Reflecting on this project, I have to say it has been a great learning experience. Not only did I learn about a big media corporation like News Corp, but also the corruption and lack of ethics such concentration leads to. It has really been an eye opening experience for me. I had never imagined that one company and one individual can hold such power over an entire industry. I was also shocked to learn about various unethical practices that Rupert Murdoch had indulged in. This has made me reflect on the role of media in society and how diversity in ownership is necessary for its proper functioning. So by the end of completing the project I fully understood the dangers of media monopoly. In terms of group dynamics, through the course of this project I also understood the importance of teamwork. Each member of the project had to adjust to the personality and style of other members of the group. This has taught me how to deal with conflicts without antagonizing others.
